A refresh for business.wm.edu

Today, we give a shout out to Joel and Andrew for a job well done on “refreshing” the mason.wm.edu website. William & Mary’s School of Business partnered with Creative Services to make a few improvements to their web presence. With direction from Andrea Sardone and Tracy Sorensen in marketing and some two weeks early work from Joel and Andrew, the refresh happened before the start of the semester.

If you are a regular visitor to mason.wm.edu, at first glance, it may not seem like much changed. Here’s what’s included in the refresh:

  • the navigation along the top and left were improved
  • the social media icons were moved from the footer to the header
  • a Give Now button was placed on the home page
  • the rotating stories on the home page are no longer using Flash. #happymacusers

This website refresh project is one we are including as part of the Business Innovation initiative at William & Mary. I am leading an effort to encourage in-sourcing of creative and technology work that might normally be outsourced to a vendor. Thanks, Andrea, for the opportunity to provide great work and keep it in house!

  1. Good stuff, Susan. BTW, the link doesn’t seem to be working. I think you need to set up a redirect from business.wm.edu to mason.wm.edu, no? I had the same problem with the link provided on a postcard I got re: Homecoming events at the Mason School.

  2. Yikes, we had one. Thanks for catching it Courtney.
